SYNOPSIS

Making your applications accessible can appear to be a scary task - we generally have little knowledge of the tools, even less so for the communities we're trying to help. It can be so scary that sometimes we actively ignore the problem.

Yet ignoring it can be a very expensive mistake. For example, a musical instrument shop in Wisconsin was landed with an accessibility lawsuit recently and was forced to fix their web site, which cost far more than it would have done to design it correctly in the first place.

Join Quintin as he untangles some of the myths around accessibility and identifies the most impactful changes are you can make to your apps and where in the software development lifecycle to make them.
